Floral Bounty!
I thought I would share some pictures of my flower beds with you. We have multi-coloured sweet williams growing everywhere this year and they look wonderful amongst the foxgloves.
I was amazed at this pretty pink rose - it has been squashed between the surrounding buds! If you enlarge the second photo, you will see an unwelcome guest! (Well, unwelcome where I'm concerned - they are not my favourite creepy-crawly!)
I had a couple of special packages arrive today! The lovely handmade tags and beautiful cards are from Alison of Foxgloves and the gorgeous corsages are from Kim of Ragged Roses! I was overjoyed when I opened up their delightfully wrapped goodies! It's one thing to receive these beautiful handmade items from such talented ladies but the thought and care which goes into their presentation is just amazing! Thank you both very much!
Your garden is so beautiful-you must spend so much time out there!!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you Clare - really pleased that you liked the corsage1 Your garden is looking very pretty, we have similar roses! One of our rose bushes is completely covered in aphids - yeuch!

Your garden is so pretty...I love the foxgloves. Sadly none of mine have come up this year for some reason. I'll have to plant a whole load more.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the cards:-)

Wow Clare, your beautiful borders are certainly bountiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the colour scheme that you have gone for - so pretty.
I would have been tempted to sniff the pink rose, but would have been in for a scary surprise!
Hope you have time to enjoy your garden this week,
Niki x

Very pretty garden photos. I love foxgloves!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is just gorgeous! I have the same dianthus in a plant pot on my deck :-)
ReplyDeleteNice flowers and I especially love the sweet williams. Careful smelling that beautiful rose...
ReplyDeleteSo much beauty! I'm incredibly jealous. I feel like it will take me another 5 years to get anywhere close to that.
ReplyDeleteJust ran across your blog. Great job w/ all the projects! http://nikisventures.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteSweet Williams are great, they look pretty and smell good too. If the added extra to the rose is a spider then I am with you all the way - they are the one thing I can't cope with. What lovely packages to have the pleasure of unpacking.
ReplyDeleteHa ha - Well if its a scented rose there will be no need for air freshener in his/her house will there. Your garden is looking nice Clare.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely garden and that pink rose! Do you know its name? I would like to get one too. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI've just been at ragged roses and she's in the pink and come across to you and you too:)
ReplyDeleteI especially like the rose in the post below resting on the pink basket.... oh such heaven.
All hail PINK!
best wishes Ginny
Your border looks gorgeous Clare! LOL about the unwelcome little spider guest, it sure has chosen the best house in that beautiful pink rose! Carol xox

What a beautiful blog. Those flowers are amazing. Loved the little shots of the gift boxes, too. Have a fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh Clare, i just LOVE you garden! I know that i do repeat myself, but i can`t say anything else than it is a true heaven :) It is just like i would picture my garden. Not too organized, but just enough..The colours are again my favourites :) I am so fond of pink, and what a beautiful and big rose! I have managed to keep my little white rose alive. You told me that they are hard to keep inside in a pot. But i have managed it so far. At nights it stays inside but at the daytime i put it outside again. It seems like it need fresh air every day and now it blossoms for the second time. I am so happy! Today we are replacing the left side of the fence, i am not that happy about it. But the strong wind has damaged it to much to fix it.I love the worn look, without any paint or stain on it. The new one is bright and just simpel plain hardwood. I find it hard to persuade my friend to paint it in a grey-green colour. He likes it how it is, it looks terrible!!
ReplyDeleteWell, i have to go and work a little bit again. But i wish you a lovely weekend and see you soon again, love from Aina :)
what a gorgeous garden... it would be such a pleasure to spend an afternoon there!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so beautiful. We have had to much rain where we live that mine look so sad:( My sweet williams are all yellow and sick. Beautiful garden!

ReplyDeleteAnd lucky you to receive such gorgeous gifts!
Oh, I have not really been creative over the past few weeks and I really miss my sewing machine. I am taking a break now over the summer months as I spend most of my spare time outside at the garden... ;-))
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Best wishes from HOT Germany!
