More Wonderful Wisteria!
I know I've already shown you photos of the wisteria and my lane and I apologise if you are experiencing a distinct sense of deja-vu, but I just couldn't resist showing you a few more photos! The wisteria really has excelled this year and is looking quite splendid.
Along with the blossom trees in the lane, we have quite a wonderful show.
I promise to bring you some photos of my 50s glass collection very soon, but in the meantime, close your eyes and breathe in the heady scent of the wisteria blooms...
I love the lane and the wisteria. I'm thinking of planting some now. The bluebells are wonderful. I went for a walk last night up the lane dragging K with me. I told him he just had to see all the flowers. The blue bells and cowslips. I'm going to take some to my art lesson tonight.
ReplyDeleteOh, how pretty! I'm lying in bed after an operation, it's pouring with rain and completely grey outside. Your photos really cheered me up!
ReplyDeleteI really love wisteria! But unfortunately there is no chance that we can have them in our garden.

ReplyDeleteThis is truly the season of blue now...the yellow is fading and blue is taking it's place. Our wisteria has finally popped out a few leaves so Todd hasnt' killed it afterall and yesterday when we went for our walk with the dog I saw the bluebells blooming along the hedgerows and little tiny violets....not to mention all the forgetmenots in the garden...sigh..I love spring.

Isn't the scent of wisteria just heavenly? When I leave the conservatory doors open it permeates into the house - lovely! Normally at this time of year we get blasted by winds which blow all the blossoms off the trees so we are being extra lucky this year.

Just gorgeous...my wisteria is STILL in tight buds and I'm just dying for it to come into bloom. Wisteria and blossom trees are so beautiful. I'm planning a walk in our local bluebell wood this weekend.

I am definitely looking into this wisteria. I wonder if it can tolerate our winters? I see it's all draped over the roof and front. Clare, does it climb like a vine? Beautiful, just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. I can almost smell them. Your still life of the bluebells in the vase is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI adore wisteria and kick myself every year for not planting it when we moved here, I went for the climbing roses instead.
