Let it snow!

Well, we've finally had some snow here in Oxfordshire and as I'm sure it will be a dim and distant memory by this time tomorrow I thought I would show you some photos of the wonderful white stuff!

This is our neighbour's dog in the lane outside the cottage; isn't he lovely?

This is the snowman my husband built this morning! I hope he looks after my scarf!

Now this is just what you need to keep you warm during this cold snap; what could be more cosy than a snuggly eiderdown? Oh, and that reminds me, my online shop opens its doors next week on 14th February! There'll be lots of cosy quilts and eiderdowns for sale but until then, please stay warm!

  1. What a poser - the dog, I mean, or do I mean the snowman? I'm not sure!!

Good luck etc for 14th Feb. Not that you'll need it, of course! I think there are a lot of bloggers just itching to see what you will be listing.

  5. You know we did'nt get a spot of snow but the childrens school about 10 mins away and tucked away in the downs was covered - they had a great day playing in it.

I look forward to checking out your website but am sure it will be like the start of a car race or the Janurary sales. At least I can't get stamped on in the rush...

    Good luck with it all.
    Best wishes Ginny

  18. Isn't the snow amazing. We've had loads of snow here in south Wales the past 2 days. The schools have been closeed and there's been snow ball fights and sledging all round.

  19. I love the dog and the snowman is so tall.

I live in France but my family are still in England, I heard on the news that it was the most widespread snow for a decade.

That quilt looks just what you need to keep you cozy and warm.

  24. Hi everyone, thank you for your lovely comments. Tracy; yes, he is a lurcher! Unfortunately all that's now left of the snowman is his carrot nose!!!

It's been quite a busy time here getting everything ready for the online shop and I really do appreciate hearing from you all - and yes, I do ship overseas!

  25. Thanks a lot for leaving a comment on my new birdcage. ´Guess what, I bought two little sweet pink (plastic) birds on Saturday and put them inside. It looks much better now, not yet perfect, but much better.
I like your idea of putting a heart inside, too. I just need to sew a little one now...

Good luck with your last preparations for your online shop! I will definitivly try to pass by on Wednesday!
