 We have added some beautiful items to the online shop today!  There are some lovely items in our 'And So To Bed' section, including this gorgeous patchwork quilt with a decidedly festive appeal. It is made from a variety of wonderful vintage fabrics and many of them are pretty Sanderson designs. There is also a magnificent antique patchwork quilt from Wales, the colours are sublimely pretty including gentle shades of nougat and mocha.

For the Season almost upon us...

Victorian Winter Cherubs Chromolith

...to the Season just past. These beautiful Victorian chromoliths will be in the shop soon. The Winter Cherubs, held aloft by a soft cloud, have wonderful seasonal accessories in the form of a snow-topped Christmas tree, a New Year's Eve party mask for the ball, trailing ivy, shells and a bouquet of roses in a lacy holder.

The Summer Cherubs are surrounded by butterflies, trailing flowers and ears of wheat. Whilst one cherub sits upon a bundle of hay with sickle in hand, another holds a sunflower, with a fluffy billowing cloud to cushion them.

These superb images would look fabulous set into cupboard doors or fixed either side of a grand and decorative mirror.

...well, of course, if you love vintage fabrics as much as we do, then the latest find is nearly always the prettiest ever! But when I discovered this lovely vintage barkcloth, I very definitely felt a quickening of my heartbeat! So, what makes it so very gorgeous?

Well, it's a 1940s barkcloth with the most adorable design of colourful sweet peas clambering up a dainty trellis - and oh! - that beautiful blue background is THE perfect shade of blue.

Finally, the barkcloth weave seems to give the design some added 'oomph!' don't you think? That little extra something which confirms that this is one heck of a pretty fabric. But don't let us sway you - what do you think?
