It has been a really busy time here just lately. What with our village's Jubilee celebrations, (which were pretty impressive, I must say!) working on the house and - thanks to the rain - trying to tame the exuberant growth in the garden, we have certainly had our hands full. Of course, we have found time to seek out some gorgeous vintage stock and have recently added a vast array of textiles, homewares and quilts to the Vintage Home shop. Here are a few of the lovely things we hope to tempt you with! The first three images are of a large and stunning hand embroidery, dating to the 1930s. The vast array of detail and rich colours have fair taken our breath away! Peacocks, a pond, roses, poppies, hollyhocks, butterflies, a cottage, blossom trees... ...make this a truly exceptional and unique piece of work. There's also a plump, beauty of an eiderdown... ...and this rare lucite tissue box cover will add a touch of glamour to your dressing table! It's time for romance with this beautiful bedside clock decorated with cherubs and roses. A rosy rug is the perfect accessory for your bedroom... ...and an antique quilt smothered with petite rosebuds is the ultimate in comfort and prettiness! A pink paisley quilt adds a splash of colour to the bedroom... ...and these pretty eiderdown fabric cushions will add a touch of cottage garden delight to your home. All these and many more vintage treasures are waiting for you in the Vintage Home shop; we hope you enjoy your visit!
